Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival

days to go!

Keith

Keith is famous for kilts and tartans, and has the world’s only Kilt School, a unique educational facility where its students learn the ancient craft of traditional kilt-making.  Nestled in the Isla valley, the countryside around Keith provides a rich selection of activities including four distilleries, numerous traditional shops and an excellent Golf course. It is also close to the “Castle Trail” – starting with Huntly Castle - and the beautiful Moray Coastline is within easy reach.

Keith is also the site of Scotland’s oldest, and arguably most picturesque, working distillery, Strathisla - worth visiting for its pretty buildings and Visitor Centre as well as its fine whiskies!

During the Festival and throughout the summer, the Keith and Dufftown Railway offer a round trip of about 90 minutes between Keith and Dufftown, in Class 108 heritage diesel railcars – one appropriately named “Spirit of Speyside.”

Keith 'The Friendly Town' really is worth your visit.
