Knockando

Three distilleries grace this little village – Tamdhu, Knockando and, open to the public, Cardhu and its Visitor Centre.  The village is also home to the historic Knockando Woolmill, which still uses much of its original machinery and techniques.  It is currently undergoing a major restoration programme and its website will keep you up to date with developments and the dates it will be re-opened to the public.

Close by is Ballindalloch Castle, “The Pearl of the North”, which makes for a splendid day out, with its rock garden, rose garden, beautiful riverside walks, tearoom and shop.

A mere 2 miles from The Castle towards Aberlour is the family owned Glenfarclas Distillery and Visitor Centre nestling in the folds of Ben Rinnes.
