Whisky Barrel Build Experience
The Caledonian Cooper (Nick) creates an opportunity to step back in time and experience the ancient craft of coopering.
Nick is an experienced 30-year trained production/bond cooper offering a unique two-and-a-half-hour experience giving an authentic glimpse into the world of coopering.
During this hands-on historic whisky barrel building session at Caledonian Cooperage based in Keith, you and the group will each dismantle and rebuild a full-sized barrel using some of the traditional hand tools, just as it has been done for centuries.
The session is set in a traditional style cooperage that evokes an atmosphere from a historic era. Guests will physically connect with the history and heritage of the coopering trade within the whisky industry.
This unique experience promises to be both educational and memorable.
Average level of fitness is required from all genders.
